Join us for round 2 in Plenty Gorge on Sunday April 19, 2026.

WHERE

The rocks at Plenty Gorge, just under Mernda Community Garden @ Carome, South Morang.

PARKING

Along/around 46 Kempen Rd, South Morang on the north side, or along Hathfelde Blvd, South Morang, on the south side (and walk in through Two Beans Farm Cafe).

TOILETS

There are no toilets directly onsite. Servos and Maccas are 5ish mins drive away, while Two Beans Farm Cafe has coffees. Toilet access is not a given; probably available for paying customers, but don’t rely on this.

MCC Inc. has secured insurance and after a unanimous vote at 2025’s AGM, we’ve moved forward with implementing paid membership.

Everyone enjoys a free month of membership from date of first sign-up, enabling newcomers to test the waters before committing. Memberships are $60/yr for individuals and $80/yr for families (defined as family members in the same home). We hope that the $5/mth membership cost is affordable, whilst helping us build the club into something that can serve the RC crawling community better every year.

There will be no check-in needed on the day.

NOTES

• The gorge is often windy. If there’s been rain in the days before the comp, the water will be up.
• Dress for a windy day on the rocks. Sunscreen and water recommended. Boots or closed shoes are advisable. Snakes are still a possibility even in May. Recommend you don’t bring your dog.
• Shops are a few minutes away by car for coffee, lunch, etc.
• Rules and Build Guidance on our FB group.
• There are no bins here. Please carry out what you carry in. (Bring a bin bag, let’s leave it cleaner than we found it).
• Lastly, we’re in a public area. We’ll have signage up for the club. Please be mindful of the locals’ expectation of peace and driveway access when parking on nearby streets, especially early in the morning.
