RC Crawling Comps in Melbourne? That’s what we’re all about!

MCC Inc. is an incorporated club that exists to facilitate RC rock crawling events for an active local community in and around Melbourne, Victoria.

We run six vehicle classes, all roughly 1/10 scale, ranging from scale, road-going 4WD models all the way up to purpose-built, motor-on-axle, rock crawling machines.

You don’t need an RC car to come along and check it out for yourself. It’s a friendly and informal atmosphere and you are warmly invited to join us next time we meet.

We occasionally meet with other folks from interstate for higher-level competition. Most currently-active groups adhere to the same rule-set here and overseas, making building and competing simpler for all.

Vehicle Classes

RC Rock Crawlers and RC Scale Crawlers

Mini

The ever-popular, pint-sized Mini class runs 4.95" max tyre size, has one motor and transmission and front steering servo only. Tiny in size but big in performance, the Mini class is a unique experience.

Sportsman 2.2

Also known as 'Shafty' or 'Sporty' class, this 2.2" wheeled variant is otherwise similar to the Mini, with polycarbonate (Lexan) body, one motor, one transmission and one steering servo only.

Pro 2.2

Also known as MOA (Motor On Axle), Pro class has 2.2" wheels, one front steering servo and a motor and transmission on each of the front and rear axles for independent axle control.

Scale-1 1.9

Scale-1, commonly known as 'C1', is the closest in scale likeness to a road-going 4WD vehicle. Max 4.19" tyres on 1.9" wheels, one motor, one transmission, one front steering servo and a hard (typically styrene) body.

Performance-Scale

Commonly known as 'C2', Performance-Scale is the more capable, off-road version of its C1 counterpart, running up to 4.8" tyres on 1.9" or 2.2" wheels and a polycarbonate (Lexan) body. There is one motor and transmission and one front steering servo.

Tuff Truck

This class is aimed at the full tube style buggies and cars such as the Capra and custom chassis built to resemble what you would see at the Tuff Truck and Werock/Ultimate Rock Sports events.
