On Sunday 3rd August, we held our 2025 Annual General Meeting during Round 3 at Pakenham. Thanks to the 25 members who attended and contributed.

Key Outcomes

  • Financial Membership Approved
    Members voted unanimously to adopt a financial membership structure, beginning 1 October 2025. This will allow us to cover the cost of annual public liability insurance, which we’ve now secured through Allianz, and to fund basic operational needs. Insurance coverage now applies to all club events moving forward.
  • Committee Roles
    All current committee members confirmed they are happy to continue in their roles for the coming year.
  • Membership Details
    To keep things fair for this first year, fees will be pro-rated at 75% (since we’re starting partway through the financial year).
    • Individual: $45 (normally $60/year)
    • Family: $60 (normally $80/year)
      Subscriptions will renew each 1 July, in line with the financial year.
    First-time visitors can still attend one event for free (every two years), but from then on all participants must be financial members to compete.
  • Easy Sign-Up
    The club will launch a simple online registration system to manage memberships, waivers, and payments. At each comp, there’ll be a QR code at the sign-in table for all attendees, including allowing newcomers to easily register on the spot. This ensures everyone is covered and has accepted the waiver before competing.

Why This Change Matters

For the first time, MCC Inc. is fully insured. This means peace of mind for all drivers and spectators, and it secures the future of our events. The small membership fees go directly toward insurance, safety gear, first aid, signage, and other event-day essentials, helping us keep our not-for-profit club running safely and sustainably.
