INJORA has stepped up to support our club with some awesome prizes and some fun flags to help our club’s first foray into small scale crawlers be awesome! This is Round 7 at Kinley Wetlands Reserve in Lilydale and we’re running 1/18 and 1/24 crawlers!

We’ve got a bunch of stuff for this comp: 1.0 wheels and tyres, 1.3 brass wheels and tyres, 11kg servo, axle mount and alu horn, two sets of small scale shocks, and a set of s/steel drive shafts! Thanks, INJORA!

SEQUREMALL has also brought some support in the form of a nifty little power system – I have one to review with RC-TNT and a second to give away as a prize on the day – thanks, SEQURE! This is their ANT ESC V2 & 1520 Motor with WiFi-Link.

This single-day comp was going to be on Saturday, September 5th, 2026, at Kinley Wetlands Reserve (directions below). Driver briefing and then driving from 10am. Prizes later-morning. We’ll run 1/18 and 1/24 scale under RCMCCA rules.

Unfortunately, the weather is going to put the “wet” in “wetlands” – we’ll have to postpone the club’s first foray into smaller scale crawlers. Watch this space – estimated new date will be late Jan 2027, very likely in the same spot. It’ll be dry then, at least!

BUILDS/PREP: We’re not too fussy on classes at this is a first-time event, but we’ll at least roughly follow the RCMCCA ruleset (see our Rules page, or download their PDF here for build guides).

PARKING

Parking is along Gallagher Cres and Parker Dr, Lilydale. Area entry is from Parker Dr as indicated in the pin pictured above. (Please be mindful of locals’ access to driveways and also to not park too close to the intersection. We want the club to have only a positive impact for locals in the area. Thank you!)

TOILETS & FOOD

There are no toilets or shops onsite. Nearest toilet is at Lilydale Lake, a short drive away at Swansea Rd, Lilydale (see on Gmaps).

NOTES

• Dress for winter, bring water and have a plan for if there are showers (we’ll still run unless it’s a wet day).
• Rocks can be slippery; boots or closed shoes are advisable.
• There are no bins here. Please carry out what you carry in.
